Skagit casting requires that the head length of the line is 3 to 3.5 times the length of the rod. Add a Skagit cheater to RIO’s Skagit line or Skagit head to maintain this ratio.

Skagit Cheaters are short extension sections to add to Skagit lines to help maintain a comfortable casting stroke. These sections go between the front of the Skagit line and the required tip.

 

The Skagit Cheaters are sold in a package of 2 to 3 different lengths or as an individual 5 foot length.

 

6/7/8 and 7/8/9 come in either the individual 5 foot length or the package (2.5', 5', 7.5').

 

8/9/10, 9/10/11, and 10/11/12 come in either the individual 5 foot length or the package (2.5' and 5').
