The blood quill is our best selling marabou. This feather is a great all around marabou for trout, bass, & saltwater flies. Fly shop manager, Rick Anderson, uses blood quills his Blue Light Special tube fly. FFSDenny uses blood quills for many Tarpon flies.

 

What makes blood quills very versatile are all the different characteristics. The blood quill has a lot of fine feather fibers. This is great for sparse bugger tails. Blood quills have very flexible quills. This allows the feather to be wrapped around easily. The fibers are long. Longer fibers really pulsate. FFS has many different color patterns to match whatever hatch is out there (even the bugger hatch!).
