Dan Blanton says Slinky Flash and Slinky Fiber are the first synthetic substitutes for Bucktail he's tried and really like. Use it alone or I use it in combination with real bucktail. This material comes in a variety of great colors and it doesn't "rat nest" up after a few fish have chewed on it like so many other synthetic fibers do - no take your fly to the dog groomer after every other fish or so.
